This full-day workshop is designed for instructional coaches, principals, assistant principals, and other school leaders.
Many schools with instructional coaches aren’t quite sure how coaching is impacting student and teacher learning. This lack of clarity can undermine the coaching program by wasting precious resources and making it more difficult for coaches to build relationships with teachers. Join us as Diane Sweeney, the author of The Essential Guide for Student-Centered Coaching (2020) and Leading Student-Centered Coaching (2018), guides leaders and coaches toward strategies to make an even greater impact with instructional coaching. In this session, we will:
-
Review how Student-Centered Coaching is designed to impact teacher and student learning.
-
Provide concrete strategies for enhancing principal and coach partnerships.
-
Use an assessment tool to measure the level of implementation in your own system.
-
Explore strategies that principals and coaches can use to take coaching further.
